Balloon Baggies
Materials:  zip-lock bags
                 baking soda
                 vinegar
                 tissues
Procedure:  1.  Tear a small square (approx. 3"by3")
                        from the tissue.
                  2.  Place one teaspoon of baking soda on
                        the tissue square, and fold over the        
                           edges.
                  3.  Pour one-half cup of vinegar into the
                       zip-lock bag.
                  4.  Place the square of tissuï¿¿e paper into
                       the zip-lock bag, and
QUICKLY zip
                       the bag shut.

                   
Now watch what happens!
Explanation:  The vinegar and baking soda combined
in a chemical reaction to produce carbon dioxide.
The carbon dioxide gas filled the bag, causing it to
expand, much like a balloon.
